Fractured Collar Bone

This is the second time I broke a part of my arm, the first was in Pat's Buckley when I fell and broke my left arm. This time, it happened while I was sleeping. Apparently I fell off my bed and was hurting so much I cried so hard. But I was too afraid to tell Mummy and Daddy and when they asked me what happened, I wouldn't say anything for fear that they might scold me. When Daddy ask if I was having a night mare, I just nodded my head and continued crying. I cried until I fell asleep in between Mummy and Daddy.

The next morning, I wouldn't go to school cos I was still in pain. Mummy had to stay back with me. It was only when Mummy asked me to lift my right arm, and not just my fingers, that she realized that I must have fallen from the bed and hurt myself. She immediately brought me to KK Hospital and had me examined. To her horror, the doctor found out from the X-Ray that I have broken my right collar bone. How did i fall so badly?

Mummy didn't want me to be in a cask in case it was very uncomfortable for me so I ended up in a bandage. I went home and Aunty Jessica had to watch over me as I fell asleep quite immediately after a very tiring ordeal.

I am exempted from school for the whole week so I can rest at home to recover quickly. I hope to get well soon, in time for my class excursion next week.

Mid Autumn Festival 2015

It is the mid autumn aka moon cake festival again and of course time to walk the lantern. We were supposed to have some fun with our cousins at Nai Nai and Ye Ye's house tonight after dinner but unfortunately Gor Gor Evan has exams tomorrow so they are not coming over. Plus it was still a little hazy today and we almost had to walk our lanterns indoor, which can be quite boring for us.

Thank goodness the weather cleared a little and Mummy and Daddy agreed that we can go outdoors but not for too long. So Nai Nai went down with us as she also wanted to get bread for herself. There were many other kids at the playground too so we got a little distracted with the spinning cup which we took turns to play with.

Nai Nai mentioned that Daddy, Yee Sok and Gu Zhe used to walk their lanterns in the Hougang kampong where great grandma and grandpa stayed. It was really fun as it was really a kampong without any street lamps, just the lights from the houses around, so the ambiance was perfect to show off the lanterns they had. Apparently they even sing this Teochew song about carrying lantern and if you don't, it will grow moldy. Hahah.. we should learn and pass it on next time.

Perth 2015

It looks like we will be traveling only during the school holidays now that Gor Gor Reuben is in primary school and can only leave during the school holidays. Daddy planned the trip for us and also for Uncle Jason together with Janessa. We left on the 15th June and was there in Perth for almost 10 days.

We started the holiday in Swan Valley where we stayed in this farm for 3 nights and used that as a base  to get around that area. It was a very cosy farm and Aunty Sue and Uncle Ross took great care of us when we were there. Tilly the farm dog was the friendliest dog and followed us everywhere we went in the farm. From here, we visited the Pinnacles Desert and also the popular Caversham Wildlife Park where we had lots of fun feeding the kangaroos.

From Swan Valley, we drove down towards Fremantle and Busselton. We also visited Mandurah and enjoyed the cruise where we had dolphins swim alongside us as we explore the houses around Mandurah. We were supposed to walk along the long jetty at Busselton but unfortunately when we got there, it was raining quite heavily so we had to skip it and headed to our very nice AirBNB unit at Geographe. We would have loved to stay there for a couple more days but we had many things to do so we had to move on.

Daddy had wanted to check out the truffle hunt down at Manjimup but he was a little too late and all the slots were taken. We went there nonetheless and had a fantastic lunch at the truffle farm and after lunch we headed to the town's public playground which was awesome and we had lots of fun there.

Leaving Manjimup, we headed north towards Margaret River. The AirBNB that Daddy booked was a big house and apparently the temperature that night was almost zero degrees and Daddy and Uncle Jason had to go to town to buy firewoods for the fire place. It was so cold we decided to all sleep in the living room in front of the fireplace. It was a very different feeling as we have never experienced a fireplace before.

At Margaret River, we visited the Wonki Farm and even though it was drizzling a little, we walked around the farm and fed the many different kinds of animals there. We even managed to check out the orchard where we learned how to pick oranges and lemon from the tree. Too bad they didn't have strawberry in that orchard otherwise i will be eating as i walk.

On another day, we also visited the Sunflower Farm and the weather was much better and we had a lot more close encounters with the animals there. From Margaret River, we travelled back to Perth city and stayed one night there. We even managed to meet with one of Daddy's client and had dim sum lunch with their family before checking out Kings Park and then headed to the airport. It was another fun trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Pat's Schoolhouse

I start my N2 at Pat's Buckley today. I was having a terrible time at Etonhouse in the last 4 months especially after most of my friends left for other schools. Although I was great initially at Etonhouse, I started to dislike going to school and often cried when Mummy and Daddy dropped me off. Thank goodness there was Zhang Laoshi who love me to bits and made staying there a little more bearable. There were other great teachers there too, like Chen Laoshi, Han Laoshi and Ms Sui Wen who would always try to make me laugh. Thank you for being so nice to me all the time even though I can be unreasonable.

At Pat's Buckley, I am just next door and takes me less than 2 mins to get to school. It has a huge compound and a big playground which is great for the kids to run around. It is also a bigger school with more children compared to Etonhouse so I will have to get used to that. I belong to Kookaburra class and there are about 12 kids in my class, including Elisha who is sister to one of Gor Gor Reuben's friend from Sunday School. I hope to have more fun in this school and I sure hope I don't cry like I used to in Etonhouse when Mummy and Daddy drop me off.
